CHURCHES TOGETHER IN NEW MILLS - General Election 2010: Public Meeting in New Mills

The New Mills churches have decided again this year, in advance of the general election, to arrange a public meeting for High Peak constituency candidates in the town.

This will be held on Tuesday 27 April at 7.30 p.m. in the Revival Church, High Street, New Mills SK22 4BR. The meeting will be chaired by a representative of Churches Together.

Questions for candidates on all areas of policy will be sought from Church members and the wider public in advance so that questions asked at the meeting cover a broad range of concerns (although, if time permits, questions may be invited on the night).

Unfortunately, no off-street parking is available at the church, but limited parking is possible on High Street and adjacent Meal Street. There are also public car parks: just off Market Street, opposite the top end of Meal Street (about 300 yards away); and off Torr Top Street (500 yards - left turn, in front of 'Spar', at the top of High Street).

East Midlands Autumn Regional Conference and AGM

The East Midlands Autumn Regional Conference and AGM is scheduled on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 9.30 am.

The Autumn Regional Conference is booked in the Ashfield area in north Notts, and will be at the Festival Hall in Kirkby in Ashfield on 30th October. This meeting will also be the Annual General Meeting of the East Midlands Liberal Democrats. For more information see www.eastmidslibdems.org.uk
