High Peak Liberal Democrats

Alistair Stevens Campaigning in the High Peak

A Good Read

4.04.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Thu 15th Oct 2009

I just wanted to recommend three recently-published books by major figures in the Liberal Democrats.

Each one is a fascinating read which gives real insight into the people and the issues that have shaped politics today.

The Storm

"The Storm" by Vince Cable is already a best-seller about the credit crunch. Vince sets out what went wrong with finance over the last decade and what we should do to solve the problems we face.

Climbng the Bookshelves

"Climbing the Bookshelves" is Shirley Wiliams' autobiography, tracing her life from her parents' early ambitions for her, through her achievements in Parliament, to her service as Liberal Democrat Leader in the House of Lords.

a fortunate Life

"A Fortunate Life", by Paddy Ashdown, is the only book where you'll learn as much about what it takes to be a Royal Marine commando as the experience of being a Party leader.

You can find all three books in any good bookshop. But, if you buy them through Amazon using the links below, you'll also help raise money for the Party.

Yours,

Chris Fox

Chief Executive, Liberal Democrats

PS. Don't forget, anything you buy from Amazon through this link will help raise money for the Party - without it costing you anything extra.
