HIGH PEAK CRICKET IS A REAL WINNER

Alistair Stevens with members of the High Peak Cricket Development Group,

Alistair Stevens, Chairman of the High Peak Cricket Development Group, and new Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for High Peak presented some of the 2010 squad with their new kit at a recent training session at Chapel school.

The under 13 and under 15 squads are half way through their winter coaching programme. A delighted Alistair thanked the Derbyshire Cricket Board for their work with the squads,

Alistair said "We have great teamwork from the fourteen cricket clubs in the High Peak as well as our partners at the Borough Council and Derbyshire C.C.C. which has helped us deliver many improvements for the teams across the area."

"As well as providing junior cricket for countless youngsters throughout the High Peak , a number of clubs have been working towards "Clubmark" status and have been able to source funding to provide additional facilities for their members and the community."

"The future of cricket in the High Peak looks bright".
