High Peak Liberal Democrats

Alistair Stevens Campaigning in the High Peak

Message from Nick

Liberal Democrat Leader Nick Clegg

I've just finished a great day campaigning. Everywhere I go, and especially in our key seats, it is obvious our support is growing by the day.

Volunteers are walking in off the streets to offer to deliver leaflets, knock on doors and make phone calls - doing their bit to make change happen.

Experienced campaigners across the country are telling me this is an election like never before for our party. The old rules have been torn up and we are rewriting the election script.

Everybody knows it has been an amazing campaign for us. We have blown open our political system for good. Those that doubted us have been proven wrong and those that said it couldn't be done have fallen silent.

And that is why our opponents will do anything and say anything to stop us. But we mustn't let them blow us off course - we must keep making the argument that only we will bring about fair taxes, a fair start for every child, a green and sustainable economy and clean politics.

In 12 hours time the polling stations will be open and the people will have their say. With your continued hard work I know the British people will support us in record numbers and help us change our country for good.

I wish you all the best of luck - keep campaigning right up to the last minute!
